William "Bill" Matlock

William “Bill” Matlock, age 63 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, December 6^th at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

He was born February 5, 1957 the son of the late Albert Thomas and Frankie Winters Matlock.

He was a member of the Pembroke Baptist Church and was a farmer for over 30 years for the Lacy Orem family. He loved his family and enjoyed skating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Donnie Matlock and three sisters, Mary Braxton, Rosabell Coleman and Timmieanne Matlock.  He is survived by his wife, Renea Matlock of Hopkinsville; four daughters, Desoree Davis, Rita Matlock and Shaye Matlock all of Hopkinsville and Missy Matlock of Texas; two brothers, James and John Matlock both of Hopkinsville; one sister, Bevelyn Matlock of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family chose cremation. There will be no services.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Davita Dialysis and the ICU nurses and doctors at Jennie Stuart for the excellent care that they gave to Bill.
