Shirley Louise Combs Hight, age 79 of Pembroke, passed away on Friday, September 4th at Baptist Health in Madisonville of natural causes.
She was born August 9, 1941 in Christian County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Lonnie and Sybil Craft Combs.
Shirley retired from Kentech where she was an inspector for 30 years. She enjoyed being out in her yard working and sitting by her Koi pond feeding her fish.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers Virgil and Troy Combs and three sisters Martha Sue, Betty Jean and Lois Ann Combs. She is survived by her loving husband Neil Hight of Pembroke; two sons Richard “Ricky” Clark of Houston, Texas and Danny Clark of London, Kentucky; four daughters Penny Jo Watkins (Robert) of Newbern, Tennessee, Wendy Clark of Hopkinsville, Kelly Meacham of Newbern, Tennessee and Christy Bowman of Nortonville; one brother Roy Combs of Tennessee; seven grandchildren Jessica Massie, Katie Clark Fisher (Alex), Lilly Clark, Ashley Farmer, Michaela Bowman, Clayton Groves and Ethan Bowman; eleven great grandchildren Leslie, Alex and Leia Russell, Beau and Wyatt Fisher, August and Elias Clark, Joshua, Jamie, Jacob Palmer and Wyatt Neil; two great great grandchildren Olivia Odom and Brandon Dickson; a special cousin Margie Cook (Johnny) of Hopkinsville and her loving dogs Pepper, Foxy and Ms. Priss who will miss her terribly.
There will be no services per Shirley’s request.
