Shannon Stokes

Shannon D. Stokes, age 49 of Elkton, passed away on Thursday, May 13^th at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky of natural causes.

She was born February 19, 1972 in Russellville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Virginia Knight Stokes.

She was a member of New Life Worship Center. She loved her family especially her granddaughter, enjoyed cooking and was known for her fried potatoes.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Stokes and three sisters, Peggy Latham, Sharon Stokes and Judy Stokes. She is survived by a daughter, Brittany Stokes; five brothers, Marty, Mark, Danny, Scott and Douglas Stokes all of Elkton; three sisters, Wanda Reynolds of California, Carolyn Smith and Teresa Stokes both of Elkton; one granddaughter, Ashleyanna Stokes and a special friend, Steven Wilder of Elkton.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, May 15^th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at the New Life Worship Center, 1090 Pond River Road, Elkton with Pastor Kevin Heflin, Rev. Gene Bagby and Frankie Skipworth officiating. Interment will follow at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery.
