Michael Eugene Rollins, age 73 of Dawson Springs, passed away on Tuesday, October 5th at his home of natural causes.
He was born November 30, 1947 in Caldwell County, Kentucky the son of Cyrus Eugene and Katie Sisk Rollins.
He was a member of the Fredonia Valley Pentecostal Worship Center, National Rifle Association, US Veterans Association and the Caldwell County Genealogy Society. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army and was a retired Correctional Officer. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them as well as stock car racing, fishing, hunting, riding his gator, 4 wheeling and woodworking.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Lynnette Rollins. He is survived by his mother, Katie Rollins of Hopkinsville; his wife, Judy Rollins of Dawson Springs; two sons, Michael Dwayne Rollins (Edie) and Donnie Ray Rollins (Emma) both of Princeton; a daughter, Linda Darlene Johnson (Henry) of Dawson Springs; two sisters, Cathy Leneave (Adrian) of Hopkinsville and Vickie E. Rollins of Russellville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Service and a Celebration of Michael’s life on Saturday, October 16th at 2:00 at the Highland Baptist Church, 318 Baker Street, Princeton, KY 42445 with Rev. Phillip Dunning officiating.
