Martha "Patsy" (Parker) McLain

Martha “Patsy” Parker McLain, age 95, of Lake City, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Christian Health Care Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky of natural causes.

She was born December 18, 1927, in High Springs, Florida, the daughter of the late Henry Clay Parker Jr. and Mary Etta Dyal Parker.

Patsy was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake City, an avid reader, and enjoyed travel. She loved Jesus, her family, her bridge club and chocolate. Her smile, quick wit, and southern charm made her the ultimate hostess for many family and friend gatherings. Patsy will be dearly missed by many but there is peace knowing she is in her eternal home. She leaves a legacy of love, faith, and hope.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J.B. McLain; two sons, J.B. “Chip” McLain Jr. and Edwin “Kim” McLain; her daughter, Mary Pat McLain; a brother, Henry Clay Parker III and four sisters, Jerry Edris, Iris Giebeig, Mary Land and Betty Westmoreland. She is survived by three grandchildren, Tobias “Toby” Wilkins (Laine) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ezra Orion McLain (Kellie) of Rock Falls, Illinois and Jessica McLain Addison (Jamie) of Trenton, Kentucky, as well as five great grandchildren, Christian, Megan, Jaxon, Jett and Jaci Kate.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake City, Florida, with Rev. Kenneth L. Goodrich II officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church following the service and inurnment.
