Judith "Judy" Barnes

Judith “Judy” Barnes, age 74 of Elkton, passed away on Sunday, August 4^th at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky of natural causes.

She was born September 16, 1944 in Newark, Ohio the daughter of the late Merrell Nelson and Thelma Rodman Nelson.

She was a member of the New Life Worship Center.  She loved her family and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one brother Michael Nelson.  She is survived by one son Gene Barnes of Elkton; one daughter Renee Aponte (Jose) of Clearwater, Florida; one brother David Nelson of Greenwich, Ohio; one sister Jean Nelson of South Carolina; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Barnes family will be on Friday from 5:00 until the Celebration of Life Service time at 6:00 at the New Life Worship Center, 1090 Pond River Road, Elkton with Rev. Jimmy Dukes officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be given to the funeral home to assist in funeral expense.
