John Pitts II Obituary
John Henry Pitts II, age 84 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, November 21st at his home of natural causes.
He was born September 20, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of the late John Henry Pitts Sr. and Mary Lou Jensen Pitts.
John was a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Army, where he served in Korea, the Vietnam War and Germany. He was a car restoration enthusiast and a collector of model trains.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Pitts and a sister, Diane Moen. He is survived by two sons, Michael Pitts of Hopkinsville and Larry Pitts of Clear Lake, California; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial service on a later date at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
