John L. James, Jr.

John James, Jr., age 58 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday morning, June 9^th at his home after a battle with cancer.

He was born September 16, 1963 in Nicholasville, Kentucky the son of the late John James, Sr. and Shirley Aldridge James.

He was a member of New Life Worship Center and he loved his family, church family, hunting, fishing and playing the drums.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer James and two grandchildren. He is survived by two daughters, Whitney James Spohn (Caleb) of Hopkinsville and Kayla James English (Travis) of Calvert City; two brothers, Jeff James and Chris James both of Hopkinsville; a sister, Renea James Matlock of Hopkinsville and one grandson.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the New Life Worship Center in Elkton. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 at the New Life Worship Center with Reverend Jeff James officiating. Interment will follow at the Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
