James Harold Simmons

James Harold Simmons, age 71 of Bowling Green, was called home on December 17^th to be with his loving wife, Kathy Marie Simmons. He passed away at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

He was born December 7, 1951 in Bowling Green, Kentucky the son of the late Cecil Spinks and Mattie Simmons.

He lived a full life loving his family and he enjoyed hunting with his sons, fishing with his late wife and he loved fast old cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy Marie Simmons and four sisters, Gladis Miller, Wilma Jean Spinks, Leona Basham and Barbara Spinks. He is survived by a son, Billy Lewis (Stacy) of Morgantown; two daughters, Melissa Jones (James) and Kim Murray (Donald) both of Bowling Green; a step son, Larry Lewis of Panama City, Florida; three brothers, Charles Simmons (Judy), David Simmons (Pat) and Ray Simmons all of Bowling Green; three sisters, Emma Keown, Joy Helson (Joe) and Martha Helson all of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren, Coldy, Austin, Christopher, Ethan, Katie, Brian, Sarah, Eli and Ryan; two great grandsons, Carter and Aavon as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A special thank you from the family to Marie Nolte (John) of Bowling Green for all the help and love they showed James over the past few years.

The family chose cremation. There will be a small memorial service for the family and close friends at a later date.
