Harold Wayne Simpson, age 90 of Hopkinsville and formerly of Elkton, passed away on Friday, March 5th at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville of natural causes.
He was born December 12, 1930 in Elkton, Kentucky the son of the late Howard and Emma Seay Simpson.
He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Hopkinsville and was a veteran in the US Army where he served in the Korean War. He loved his family, archaeology and collecting Indian artifacts and relics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Rea Simpson. He is survived by a son, Steven Simpson of Hopkinsville; a daughter, Debbie Lancaster (Brent) of Pembroke; two brothers, Don Simpson of Chicago, Illinois and William Ferguson Simpson of Hartwell, Georgia; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
There will be a Graveside Service on Friday at 1:00 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
