Gary "Smurf" Abbitt Obituary
Gary “Smurf” Abbitt, age 58 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, October 16th at his home of natural causes.
He was born September 29, 1963 in Jackson, Tennessee the son of the late Joe Billy and Lois Christine Foutch Abbitt.
He was an electrician and loved doing electrical work. He loved his family, fishing and cooking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Abbitt and a sister, Lois Ann Abbitt. He is survived by two sons, Charles Abbitt of Cleburne, Texas and Jeremy Duke Abbitt (Lindsey) of Hopkinsville; a daughter, Katherine Robinson of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Terry Abbitt of Medina, Tennessee and Tim Abbitt of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and three grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life visitation on Saturday, October 23rd from 2:00 until 4:00 at the Cross Point Ministries Church, 1127 E. 7th Street, Hopkinsville.
