William "Bill" Young

William “Bill” Young, age 88 of Crofton, passed away on Friday, April 26^th at his home of natural causes.

He was born October 31, 1930 in Christian County, Kentucky the son of the late Noah and Opal Boyd Young.

He was a member of the Crofton United Methodist Church and he served in the United States Army. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends as well as going to church and raising cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Annis Christine Young and two sisters Anna Nell Young Gilkey and Edith Harrison.  He is survived by two sons William “Billy” Young Jr. of York, Nebraska and Bobby Young of Crofton; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, April 29^th at 7:00 at the Crofton UMC, 140 Church Street, Crofton with Billy Crick officiating.
