Weldon Logan Sullivan, age 83 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, January 25th at his home of natural causes.
He was born September 12, 1935 in Greensburg, Kentucky the son of the late John L. and Irene Karnes Sullivan.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. He was a veteran with the United States Army and was owner of Sullivan Tire and S & J Auto Sales. He loved his family, fishing and Nascar racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as three brothers J.L. Sullivan, Jr., Lilburn Sullivan and Billy Sullivan and two sisters Katherine Petillo and Gwen Yoakum. He is survived by his wife Wilma Sullivan of Hopkinsville; one daughter Kimberly Robertson-Shaw of Hopkinsville; one sister Carroll Sargent of Hopkinsville; one grandson and two great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Sullivan family will be on Wednesday, January 30th from 4:00 until 6:00 with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 at the Woodman of the World Building, 1908 Pembroke Road, Hopkinsville with Clifton Sullivan officiating. Inurnment will follow on a later date at the Powell Cemetery in LaFayette.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Pennyroyal Hospice, Max’s Hope or Christian County Animal Shelter.
