Sandra Vares Obituary
Sandra Gene Vares, age 79 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, August 10th at her home of natural causes.
She was born July 11, 1940 in Caro, Michigan the daughter of the late Harold Ray Wilson and Martha Montgomery McGohon.
She was a Methodist by faith. She worked for 22 years as a cashier hostess for Shoney’s in Hopkinsville. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who loved to help others. She was a very caring person that loved to rescue animals and she loved her family, horses and enjoyed fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one daughter Rosanna Trujillo. She is survived by two daughters Tamara Behara (Earl) of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Martha Smiley Walker (Brian Roskoskey) of Hopkinsville; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will be doing a private Celebration of Life Service on a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in memory of Sandra Vares to Pennyroyal Hospice or a Pet Rescue of your choice.
