Joe "Jocko" Wilkins Obituary
Mr. Joe "Jocko" Wilkins, age 81 of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, January 13th at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes.
He was born December 13, 1936 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky the son of the late Lehman and Mary Thomas (Witherspoon) Wilkins.
He was a Veteran with the United States Army and was a former Christian County Jailer where he served 2 terms. He volunteered for the Christian County Humane Society and he loved his dogs and UK Basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers Lehman Thomas and Don Lewis Wilkins. He is survived by his wife Sandra Wilkins of Hopkinsville; two step sons Christopher DeClue of Hopkinsville and Donnie DeClue (Mandi) of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; four brothers Ronald Wilkins (Peggy) of Lexington, Kentucky, Jimmy Lee Wilkins (Jackye) of Crofton, Gary Michael Wilkins of Hopkinsville and William Patrick Wilkins of Norfolk, Virginia; three sisters Marilyn Sue Gilliam of Boise, Idaho, Polly Ann Grace (Gene) of Hopkinsville and Martha Louise Wilkerson of Florida. Also surviving are three step grandchildren.
The family has chosen to do a cremation. There will be no services.
